Biography

Arno Cuendet is a musician from Lausanne born in 1996. After a music-oriented school career, he entered the Haute Ecole de Lausanne (HEMU) in the contemporary music section and finished his Bachelor's degree in 2020. The airy and textured sound of his guitar will lead him to the key synthesizers of the 70's which will complete his palette on stage and in the studio.

After more than 500 concerts, Arno had the opportunity to perform in Switzerland and abroad and to work for different Swiss artists such as Aliose, Billie Bird, Monument, Nnavy, Caroline Alves, Félix Rabin, Dominique Hunziker... and to play on stages such as the Amalgame, Balélec, the Alhambra, Label Suisse, Fri-Son, Festi'neuch, Le Chant du Gros, the Docks, Le Romandie, the Case à Chocs, the Montreux Jazz Festival, PALP, the Métropole hall in Lausanne, as well as the 100 Club, a famous London venue.

Arno also participated in a European tour in a play by Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre, a project that allowed him to play in various large theatres in Central Europe such as Le Carré des Jalles in Bordeaux, the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona, the Düsseldorf Schauspielerhaus, La Comédie de Genève, ...

In parallel to his work as a guitarist, Arno has also participated in the composition, production, arrangement and writing of a number of projects such as Etienne Machine, Monument, Minus One, STRZ... These experiences have allowed him to create a solid network in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and to familiarize himself with the media contexts of the musical world through dozens of interviews on paper and radio such as Couleur 3, GRRIF, SRF3, Option Musique, La 1ère or 24 Heures, where he regularly returns to present his different creations.

Arno has also composed for various audiovisual projects for the alumni of ECAL, Ceruleum and HEAD. These works have given him a mastery of composition and recording software such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro or Pro Tools. He will start to teach Ableton Live and Logic Pro to individual and group students at the EJMA in 2021.
