Biography

Révélation Guitare Classique Magazine 2018, Cassie Martin began playing guitar at the age of 5. After training at the Conservatoire d'Orléans, she entered Gérard Abiton's class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in 2015. At 17, she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris in Olivier Chassain's class.
 
She has worked with such renowned international guitarists as Sergio Assad, Tania Chagnot, Jérémy Jouve, Judicaël Perroy, Eric Franceries and Johan Fostier, all of whom have contributed to her artistic development.
 
In 2020, she became one of the Eurostrings artists, opening up to the European scene.
In 2022, she took part in Gautier Capuçon's "Un été en France 2022" tour.
In 2023, she was chosen by Sergio Assad to represent France in his project "The Woman and the guitar".

At the age of 21, she won the ICMA-Classeek Prize 2024 and is the winner of numerous international competitions, including 1st Prize in the GuitArt Plovdiv International Competition 2023 (Bulgaria); 1st Prize in the Silesian Guitar Autumn 2022 (Poland); 1st Prize in the Guitar Wien Forum 2022 (Austria); 1st Prize in the Taiwan International Guitar Competition 2022; 1st Prize in the Alirio Diaz International Competition 2022 in Rust (Austria); 3rd Prize in the Concours International de Guitare de Paris 2022 (France); Prix d'Honneur in the Concours International Léopold Bellan 2019 ( France); 1st Prize in the Concours International de Guitare en Béarn 2019 ( France); 3rd Prize in the Concours International de Bruxelles 2019 (Belgium); 1st Prize in the Concours International Roland Dyens 2018 (France); 1st Prize in the Concours International de Carry-le-Rouet 2018 (France).

Cassie Martin has given masterclasses and performed in numerous festivals around the world: South Korea, USA, Thailand, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Belgium offering a repertoire of varied styles from early to contemporary music.

She has played the greatest concertos with orchestra in France and Poland: Joaquín Rodrigo's famous Aranjuez Concerto for guitar and orchestra, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's Concerto in D op. 99.

She regularly performs as a chamber music guitar-violin duo with violinist Camille Théveneau.

After teaching at the Conservatoire de Saint-Cloud, she has been a professor at the Conservatoire de Levallois-Perret since September 2023.
