Biography

Classical Guitar Magazine 2018 Revelation, Cassie Martin begins the guitar at the age of 5. After training at the Orleans Conservatory, she entered the Paris CRR in 2015 in the class of Gérard Abiton, where she obtained her D.E.M. with unanimous approval and the congratulations of the jury at age 15. At 17, she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris in the class of Olivier Chassain.
 
Cassie has worked with several renowned international guitarists such as Sergio Assad, Jérémy Jouve, Judicaël Perroy, Eric Franceries, Tania Chagnot, Johan Fostier who have contributed to her artistic development.
In 2018, she has the honor to play the Concerto in D op. 99 by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco under the direction of Xavier Delette at the CRR of Paris.
In March 2022, she performs the famous Aranjuez Concerto for guitar and orchestra by Joaquín Rodrigo with the Grand Orchestre Symphonique Universitaire de Lille.
 
1st prize in competitions at the age of 9, she has since won several national and international competitions: 1st Prize in the Alirio Diaz International Competition 2022 in Rust, Austria; Honorary Prize in the Léopold Bellan International Competition, 1st Prize in the
International Guitar Competition in Bearn, 1st Prize at the International Competition of Carry-le-Rouet; 3rd Prize at the International Competition of Brussels; 3rd Prize at the International Guitar Competition of Paris.
In 2020, she is part of the Eurostrings artists and opens to the European scene.
In 2022, she was selected to participate in Gautier Capuçon's tour "Un été en France".
 
Cassie Martin has performed in many festivals in France and in Europe offering a repertoire of various styles from early music to contemporary music: Festival internacional de guitarra de Guimaraes in Portugal; International Guitar Festival Rust in Austria; Festival Internazionale della Chitarra - Città di Mottola in Italy; GuitArt festival Plovdiv in Bulgaria; Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival in Romania and the Brussels International Guitar Festival in Belgium.
