Biography

Classical Guitar Magazine Revelation 2018, Cassie Martin began playing the guitar at the age of 5. After training at the Conservatoire d'Orléans with Josiane Rabemananjara, she entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in Gérard Abiton's class in 2015. At 17, she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris in the class of Olivier Chassain.
 
She has worked with several renowned international guitarists such as Sergio Assad, Tania Chagnot, Jérémy Jouve, Judicaël Perroy, Eric Franceries, Johan Fostier who have contributed to her artistic development.
In 2020, she is part of the Eurostrings artists and opens up to the European scene.
In 2022, she took part in Gautier Capuçon's tour "Un été en France 2022".
 
At the age of 20, she is the winner of several international competitions, including the 1st Prize of the Silesian Guitar Autumn 2022 (Poland); the 1st Prize of the Forum Guitar Wien 2022 (Austria); the 1st Prize of the Taiwan International Guitar Competition 2022; the 1st Prize of the Alirio Diaz International Guitar Competition 2022 in Rust (Austria); 3rd Prize at the Paris International Guitar Competition 2022 (France); 1st Prize at the Concours International Léopold Bellan 2019 (France); 1st Prize at the Concours International de Guitare en Béarn 2019 (France); 3rd Prize at the Concours International de Bruxelles 2019 (Belgium); 1st Prize at the Concours International Roland Dyens 2018 (France); 1st Prize at the Concours International de Carry-le-Rouet 2018 (France).
 
Cassie Martin has performed at numerous festivals around the world offering a diverse repertoire of styles ranging from early music to contemporary music: Festival international des Cordes Pincées de Rabat in Morocco; Festival internacional de guitarra de Guimaraes in Portugal; International Guitar Festival Rust in Austria; Festival Internazionale della Chitarra - Città di Mottola in Italy; GuitArt festival Plovdiv in Bulgaria; Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival in Romania; and the Brussels International Guitar Festival in Belgium.
 
She has played the most important concertos with orchestra in France and Poland: the famous Aranjuez Concerto for guitar and orchestra by Joaquín Rodrigo, the Concerto in D op. 99 by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
She regularly performs in chamber music ensembles as a guitar-violin duo with the violinist Camille Théveneau.
Since September 2022, she teaches at the Conservatoire de Saint-Cloud.
