Biography

Valère Coignet is a French guitarist and composer born October 9, 1996. He started playing the guitar at the age of 7 in rock and metal styles through the blues by immersing himself in his favourite guitarists (Slash, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, John Petrucci...) and started composing and recording his own songs at the age of 15.

In 2013, he joins the Conservatoire de Chalon-sur-Saône en Musiques Actuelles Amplifiées, and will obtain his Diplôme d'Études Musicales in 2019. During this period, he is the solo guitarist of the PBFB orchestra, which will be declared Champion of France two years in a row at the National Grand Prix. He also obtains a professional "Rock Guitar" certificate after 9 months of lessons with Berklee Online.

After multiple musical projects, his style evolves towards the universe of instrumental progressive metal and 7-string guitars. He then created a solo project under the pseudonym "Valzore", and released his first EP "Just a Step Away" in December 2019. Mixing guitars and orchestral instruments, aggressiveness and film music, he creates and produces alone each step of his project with influences such as Animal As Leaders, Plini, David Maxim Micic or Devin Townsend. The EP "Just a Step away" is scheduled to be released live soon.

He participates in the "Kiesel Solo Contest 2019" and reaches the top 30 out of more than 3000 entries and is the winner of the first round of the contest organized by United Guitars in January 2020. It is during the United Guitars Fest that he discovers the Focus range from Savarez, which now equips the Kiesel 7 strings from Valzore.
