Biography

Edith Pageaud began playing the guitar at the age of 7, and in her second year won several 1st prizes in national competitions. 
 
She entered the Paris CRR under Gérard Abiton, with whom she obtained her Diplôme d'Etudes Musicales in classical guitar at the age of 14. She also took lessons with Gérard Verba, then decided to study humanities and philosophy, before returning to music a few years later and devoting herself entirely to it.
 
In 2022, she won 1st prize in the Drome de Guitares competition, and in 2023, 1st prize in the Roland Dyens International Competition, which named her Révélation Guitare Classique Magazine, as well as 1st prize in the Florence International Guitar Competition Alvaro Company in Italy.
 
Today, she is accompanied by Atanas Ourkouzounov and teaches classical guitar at the Conservatoire. In addition to her teaching and performing activities, she arranges piano repertoire by composers such as Rachmaninov, Scriabin and Brahms.
 
In March 2024, Edith Pageaud won first prize in the Rust "Alirio Diaz" competition.
