Yannis Constans was born in Toulouse in 1987.

He began his musical journey with rock and the drums at the age of 10, then discovered Gypsy jazz—and jazz in general—toward the end of his teenage years. At age 18, he began teaching himself to play the guitar by listening to Django Reinhardt.

Over time and through various encounters, Yannis honed his skills on the instrument by exploring diverse musical styles. First came Eastern European music, then choro (traditional Brazilian music), tango, and more

All the while, he never lost sight of his first love: swing and Gypsy jazz.

His talent has earned him invitations to accompany renowned artists such as Tchavolo, Dorado, and Samson Schmitt; Stochelo Rosenberg; Angelo Debarre; Steeve Laffont; and Paulus Schäfer…

Currently, Yannis performs regularly in France, Spain, and Italy.
